Sad News

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions. Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

The Ass Neck

Many of you may have heard of the infamous Jerky Boys and their equally infamous term - ass neck. I have oft wondered the meaning of this strangely intriguing combination of anatomical terms. But alas, I wonder no more. I have discovered the meaning...in fact, I live the meaning and have become increasingly grossly familiar with the fascinating term. I have determined it means when one's neck becomes so painful as to make one want to kick his own ass to alleviate said neck pain. Seriously. I don't know how or why, but my neck has started to hurt daily for the past several weeks. Some days are worse than others and I have yet to determine that catalyst that initiates this insistently annoying pain. The Chiropractor is crunching away on me and the muscle relaxers seem to help, too. I hope it goes way entirely sooner rather than later....

The Memory Game

When Angel and I took a road trip many many moons ago, she taught me this really weird memory game. Here is what I remember:

One person says it, the other must repeat it starting at the beginning every time.

1 duck
2 geese
3 hen
4 corpulent porpoises
5 limerick oysters
6 dozen pairs of Don Alversos tweezers
7 thousand Macedonian warriors dressed in full battle array
8 brass monkeys from the ancient sacred crypts of Egypt
9 sympathetic apathetic diabetic old men on roller skates having a marked propensity towards procrastination and sloth
10 Lyrical, Spherical, Diabolical Denizens of The Deep who haul stall around the corner of the quay, the quo and the quivey, all at the same time.

Crazy! But it works. When I went through a 3 week course from the Marines to become a Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival (MCIWS) we had to swim 50 meters under water in order to graduate. Its a tough task and 90% mental. The Instructors told us look straight down (not to the end of the pool where you have to get to), relax, slow steady movements, and think of something or sing a song to distract your mind. I used the memory game and I made it to the other side of the pool before I finished!

My First Father's Day

Yesterday was such a great day. Angel and I got up early, made a yummy breakfast, and played with the babe. I love my family so much! Then we went to Church and Angel pretty much was a superstar! She spoke in church, led the kids singing "I'm so glad when Daddy comes Home," and did double duty during primary! It was amazing! She was way stressed (I know - crazy huh? A Stenquist? Stressed? Nah!) but for no reason. She was fantastic. Then we came home from church, Angel made meatloaf, potatoes, and raised rolls (watch out Kristi!). It was so good! We then fell into a food induced coma and napped for about 2 hours. We woke up, hung out, played with the babe some more, and just enjoyed each others company. It was a great day. I love being a dad! What a reward it is everyday to come home to my girls and lots of kisses! The picture is my dad (I want to be just like him!), baby Sarah, and me.

My favorite toy store

Family Fun!
Nice!

Wanna play!

Make sure your speakers are on for the music! I programmed this tic tact toe game to pop up on my screen whenever someone clicks play. So you really are playing against me! Bring it!

Caution: will make you cry

Post numero uno for my very own blog. I'm chillin' at work and had a little down time. Here is a picture of my lovely wife and me.
